From the Au Cœur du Lac campsite in Sévrier, set off to discover a region where the beauty of Lake Annecy rivals that of the Alpine peaks. With walks, hikes, outdoor sports and heritage activities to suit all tastes and all the family! Ideally located close to public transport and the Voie Verte (green route) that runs alongside the lake, with direct access to the beach, all you have to do is create the memories…

Lake Annecy: a natural jewel with crystal-clear waters
A true natural jewel, it is one of the purest lakes in Europe thanks to its crystal-clear water. 14km long and 3km wide, it is surrounded by majestic mountains such as Mont Veyrier and Parmelan, providing a spectacular setting and breathtaking scenery. With temperatures averaging 23°C in the summer months, this is a unique bathing experience (so don’t forget your swimming costume!). Les Choseaux Clos Berthet beach (free access) is a 3-minute walk from the campsite and offers a relaxing lakeside setting for lazy afternoons (for those who are too cold to get in the water). With its dazzling blue waters and magical panorama, these will probably be your best shots…

Annecy, the Venice of the Alps: a charming getaway
In terms of culture and heritage (to alternate the pleasures), you can stroll around the old town of Annecy, 4 kilometres from the campsite. For cyclists, the itinerary is royal: accessible via the Voie Verte running alongside the lake. You’ll be seduced by the flower-filled canals and colourful or emblematic buildings, such as the Palais de l’Isle. Don’t forget to pass by the Pont des Amours, perfect for a souvenir photo, and let yourself be seduced by a gourmet moment in one of the many typical cafés or restaurants, as Savoyard gastronomy is something of a must (tartiflette, raclette, croziflette, we’ll give you the chorus…). For those who want to discover the secrets of the town, join a guided tour.

Dive into adventure with sensational sports around Lake Annecy
Fill up on excitement and indulge in the many activities and water sports on offer on the lake, for all ages and all levels. Sailing, yes… with an exceptional panorama is even better! Try your hand at kayaking, paddle-boarding, windsurfing or even water-skiing or canyoning for the more adventurous. A real natural jewel, the more curious will love exploring the depths during a diving session, because yes, it’s also home to sublime underwater species. It’s up to you to find the activity that suits you best, with no limits imposed!

Immerse yourself in the heart of nature: the impressive Gorges du Fier
Caution is advised if you are afraid of heights, but the route is well worth the diversions. It’s time to venture into the heart of the Gorges du Fier! A veritable wonder of nature in Haute-Savoie, at Lovagny (10 km from Annecy), you’ll progress along a footbridge fixed to the rock to admire this incredible canyon up close. Between rock and river, you’ll see and discover the ‘Sea of Rocks’, the ‘Clairière des Curieux’, the ‘Ilot des Légendes’ and the ‘Imagi…Fier’. Suitable for all ages (see safety instructions).

Walks around Lake Annecy: to enjoy nature to the max!
Follow the cycle path along the lake (directly accessible from the campsite) to discover secret beaches, such as the beach at Saint-Jorioz, ideal for enjoying an afternoon in the sun. Stop off at Menthon-Saint-Bernard and visit its medieval castle with its breathtaking views over the lake.

Guaranteed adrenalin: paragliding session over the lake
Take to the skies and treat yourself to a first flight in a paraglider over Lake Annecy. It’s a shot that’s not for everyone! You’ll enjoy a unique view of the lake and the surrounding mountains, combined with unique sensations that will allow you to admire the lake in complete lightness.

Hiking in the heart of the Alps: trails for all abilities
For lovers of walking and nature, there’s no shortage of hiking trails! For all levels and all speeds, choose the route that suits you best. Nearby trails include Les Croix du Semnoz, a looping route offering breathtaking views of Lake Annecy from the wooded foothills of the Semnoz, and Mont Veyrier, culminating at 1,329 metres (the reward at the summit is a unique panorama of Lake Annecy surrounded by mountains). A little further on, around fifteen kilometres from Sévrier, you’ll find the Col de la Forclaz (the ideal starting point for hikes to Mont de la Mandallaz or Mont Charvin), which is better suited to more experienced hikers. For more gentle walks, the Tour du Lac d’Annecy is ideal for the whole family. During your walks, you won’t fail to admire the charming picturesque villages in the surrounding area.
